Jobs and Jobs Centers on the Web

Looks like AIIM is making use of the Web/database capabilities that are now available in the new AIIM Job Center.

If I'm not mistaken, you can do all of that at or other big job database Web sites. I don't think AIIM is (or STC would if they did the same thing) adding any value until it allows its members to enter information that is then made available to users — such as rating companies or providing additional information. The type of value that professional associations could add would be to make it more "social" (in the Web 2.0 sense of that word). certainly doesn't have the staff or resources to do this, which is why for now our Key Employment page simply lists jobs from I don't know why I, as a professional, would use one of these industry-specific databases when I can use the big ones and get more results. Until someone adds the social aspects, it's business as usual.
